Bio: Stewart Westdal, Chapter president. Born in Williston, North Dakota,
graduated from Georg Washington University, Washington, D.C.(AB, History),
Point Loma College, San Diego, CA (teaching credential) and San Diego State
University (MA, Medieval History), both in San Diego; U.S. Army, 1962-65,
E4; San Diego resident since 1968; worked for San Diego City Schools
1969-77, City of San Diego, 1978-88, University of San Diego, 1988-92; owner
of Stewart’s Coins & Things (mostly foreign notes),1974-91,and Ponterio &
Associates,  1991-present (part-time since 2005). Married to the same

Secretary: Ken Aring
 
Bio: Ken Aring, chapter secretary.  IBNS number 8736.  Born in Los Angeles 1941,
 graduated from University of California Riverside (BA, physics), Cornell University
 (Ph.D. physics).  Taught at Point Loma Nazarene University (San Diego, CA) from
 1973 until retirement in 2006.  Collected coins since his early teens, specializing in Asia
 and all things numismatic related to the fall of communism, particularly privatization
 vouchers and other items that illustrate economic and political changes.
